'Wildlife and Cricket - how to create the 'Wow' factor'
I will do the main talk on bird in flight photography - mainly the settings to use on cameras, where to photograph birds, the equipment to use for different types of birds etc.
I will tag on a bit at the end about cricket and football photography. I started at Surrey Cricket Club at The Oval taking photos and for over a year got rubbish photos. I eventually worked out how to get good cricket photos. I now spend most of my summer at The Oval taking photos of cricket. I am starting to become a bit of a specialist.
I have been a Queens Park Rangers season ticket holder for more than 40 years. I am now official photographer for the Queens Park Rangers fanzine A Kick Up The Rs.
I will talk about the type of photograph that fans want to see (and more importantly what the Editor of the Fanzine wants me to take photographs of).
Taking photos of cricket and football is absolutely nothing like taking photos of wildlife.
The photo on the talk advert is of a Leucistic Red Kite in Wales. One of only 10 such red kites in the wild.
